We are the biggest theatre on the south coast with over 2,300 seats in our auditorium – we are an independent Trust with the aim to bring a diverse range of shows to Southampton. We present a mixture of spectacular touring productions, from musicals – many direct from the West End – to dance, opera, drama, ballet and comedy.

We are run as a charitable trust and we don’t receive any funding from any external bodies, so all the money generated from tickets sales goes straight back into keeping the theatre alive.

Business Challenge

Looking to reduce costs associated with printing that could be monitored with departmental breakdown for costings. The prevention of unauthorised access and the ability to produce detailed reports on usage data.

The output image quality had to be of a very high standard and the devices configured to meet the requirements of each department. The user interface also had to be friendly and easy to use. Provide a service package that supported the products.

Solution

Clarity Copiers implemented a multifaceted approach operating a ‘managed service’, where software and hardware are combined to best effect. Printing was centralised to fewer devices at a lower running cost and greater functionality including colour, scanning and monitoring features.

Usage is monitored with industry leading software to give total control to the business management. ‘Follow-me’ print allows users complete document security and greater freedom where & when they collect print jobs. All equipment is serviced and supported by Clarity Copiers, taking the strain from the internal IT team. 24 hr monitoring is in place, automatically alerting Clarity’s offices to any problems and consumable needs, saving storage and user time.
